My name is Ron Dibble, owner and lead massage therapist at A Knead To Know massage. All massage therapists at A Knead To Know are licensed by the Florida board of health. I will briefly describe various massage types.
Swedish relaxation massage is the most common and best known type of massage in the West. If it’s your first time at the spa or you don’t get massage often, Swedish massage is the best place to start.
Various lubricants may be used to facilitate the smooth movement over your skin by the therapists hands. This action warms up the muscle tissue, allowing the release of tension and the relaxation of your muscles during a Swedish massage.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is another form of Swedish massage. If you can tolerate more intense pressure, deep tissue may be an option you would like to explore. Bear in mind, it may take more than one session to get the best results.
Hot Stone Massage
We also do Hot Stone massage, and have an alternative method using hot packs. Both hot stone and the hot packs may be applied to the skin in flowing strokes. Hot stone massage is an alternative to deep tissue massage, releasing tense and knotted muscles in a less intrusive way.
The Rossiter System® Workout
The Rossiter System ® is a two person stretching program that combines connective/ soft tissue modalities with active client participation in the stretching techniques. Rossiter ® is effective for chronic pain and limited flexibility, preventing, alleviating, and reversing pain quickly. Rossiter System ® focuses entirely on the underlying and broader connective tissue system. The appointment with a Rossiter Coach ® is called a “workout” instead of a session, treatment or therapy. If you have neck or shoulder pain, back pain, knee pain, hand and wrist pain, elbow pain (tennis / golfers elbow), arthritis, Rossiter ® may help.
